There is absolutely no substitute for personal, individual photography training.  Seminars are good and so are small groups training classes and training videos. But nothing takes the place of one-on-one, hands on, photography tutoring for individual, personal photography training. That is what I offer: an opportunity for photography enthusiasts to improve their skills and move from good to great by providing them with individual, personal attention, here in Columbia, SC.

 A “good” photographer understands the “science” of photography and subconsciously applies his or her knowledge of focal length,  shutter speed, aperture, depth of field and fundamental principles of composition to create a “good” image. This is the “objective” ingredient. My photography tutoring course teaches that.

On the other hand, a “great”, experienced photographer understands visual literacy and can blend this “art” to create an arresting, though provoking and engaging image. Learning how to see creatively is the component that moves you to the next level. This is the “subjective” ingredient. My individual photography training course takes you there. And my course includes Adobe Photoshop post-processing in case that you didn't get it "right" the first time.

With the photography tutoring that I offer, you will learn through my many years of experience, how to blend the “objective” component of the science of photography with the “subjective” portion of the art of photography.
